  • Step 1

    Fill out a "To Receive Money" form at a Western Union Agent Location

  • Step 2

    Give the form, current government-issued photo ID and 10-digit MTCN to the Agent clerk.

  • Step 3

    Agent clerk will give the money in cash or cheque, and a receipt.

Mobile Money Transfer service is an easy, fast and convenient way to send money to a Receive's mobile phone. Available in the Philippines with Globe GCASH or Smart Money and in Kenya with Safaricom M-PESA when money is sent from Canada.

When money is sent to a mobile phone, funds are deposited securely into the Receiver's mobile 'wallet', or account tied to the mobile phone number provided.*

Review the available destination countries and Mobile Operators shown in the chart below.

Confirm that the Receiver has a mobile wallet* with one of the listed Mobile Operators in the destination country.

Obtain the Receiver's mobile number, including the country code.

Confirm money has been deposited by checking Receiver's bank account or contacting the bank.

Visit a participating Agent location and complete the Send Money Form with the details including the Receiver's name and mobile phone number.

A mobile wallet is an account that is linked to a mobile phone into which money can be deposited or withdrawn.

Receive Money in a Bank*

Receiving money directly into a qualifying bank account is easy and convenient. Funds are generally deposited within one to three banking days depending on the country and bank.

Visit an agent location to send the money

Wait 1-3 o three banking days for money to be deposited into your bank account.

Confirm money has been deposited by checking Receiver's bank account or contacting the bank.
