How to send cash to a mobile phone

Western Union® Mobile Money Transfer service allows you to send money directly to a mobile phone through a mobile wallet. Receivers must have a mobile wallet (m-Wallet) account with their Mobile Service Phone Provider to receive money on their mobile phone.

Depending on services offered by the Receiver's Mobile Provider, mobile funds may be used to pay bills, buy goods and services, purchase airtime, and/or withdraw cash.

What is a mobile wallet?

A mobile wallet is an account that is linked to a mobile phone into which money can be deposited or withdrawn.

  • Visit an Agent

    Find and visit a participating Western Union Agent Location

  • Complete the Send Money Form

    Name of the Receiver
    Amount to transfer
    Receiver's mobile number*
    Payment information

  • Confirm receipt of Money Transfer

    An SMS* message will be sent to the Receiver from their Mobile Service Provider alerting them they have received funds in their mobile wallet.
