Isabel Layden, 56, lives in Corner Brook, Newfoundland, a city of 20,000 people on the west coast of the province. Isabel, a widow, is an in-home care-giver to her father-in-law and a mom to three grown children, aged 27, 30 and 32, all of whom also live in Corner Brook. Once a week, Isabel goes to a Western Union® Agent location in a nearby Walmart store to send money to her boyfriend who is in Turkey for a year. Isabel was very surprised to find out she was a winner."I didn't know what to think because I don't normally win anything. It was very nice. Extra money is always nice to receive, especially near Christmas."

The fourth winner of Holiday Surprise Grand Prize is Luis Hidalgo from Edmonton, AB, who used Western Union Money Transfer Services to send money to Dominican Republic.

Luis Hidalgo has used Western Union to send money back home to his family in the Dominican Republic since he came to Canada 20 years ago.
