  5. Prizes:
    • Weekly Grand Prizes: Each Weekly Grand Prize consists of one (1) Trip Voucher redeemable towards one (1) round-trip economy airfare ticket (including all airport fees and taxes) with a maximum value of $2,000 Cdn from Canada to a major international airport located in the country of the winner's choosing. Any amount exceeding $2,000 Cdn. is the sole responsibility of the winner. Confirmation of flight dates and times will be at the sole discretion of the travel agency designated by the Contest Sponsor, who will be responsible for issuing the airfare tickets. Western Union is not responsible for arranging dates and times of travel. The airfare ticket will be from the Canadian International Airport nearest the winner's primary residence and returning to the same airport. All other expenses such as accommodation, meals, travel documentation fees, spending money, additional travel beyond the destination mentioned on the airfare ticket, change fees and all expenses not specifically described as being included in the prize will be the sole responsibility of the winner. It is the winner's responsibility to have current travel documentation such as a passport, visa or other required documents for travelling as well as the appropriate inoculations and medical insurance, if applicable, prior to travel, and winner must have the right to enter the destination country. Western Union is not liable if travel is impeded, refused or delayed by reason of decisions of Canadian authorities or for any other reason. Western Union assumes no responsibility for cancelled, delayed, suspended, or rescheduled aspects of the Weekly Grand Prize for any reason whatsoever. Approximate retail value of each Weekly Grand Prize is $2,000 Cdn., depending on point of departure and destination. The winner will have the option of taking a $1,500 Cdn. cash equivalent in lieu of the Trip Voucher. No cash refund or credit will be provided if the airfare ticket costs less than $2,000 Cdn.
    • Instant Prizes: A total of 240,000 Instant Prizes are available to be won at the outset of the Contest. If you are eligible to win an Instant Prize, a message will appear on your transaction receipt or will be provided via phone call or e-mail to winning mail-in. 10,000 Instant Prizes are available to be awarded each week during the Contest Period. Each Instant Prize consists of a $2.50 Cdn Phone Time Voucher. Approximate retail value of the Instant Prize is $2.50 Cdn. The winning dates and times for Instant Prizes will be randomly pre-selected. Transaction or mail-in entries that match the pre-selected date/time will be eligible to win an Instant Prize.

Phone Time Vouchers may be used towards calls to over 200 countries. Instant Prize winners for automatic entries will receive a message on their receipt that their Phone Time Vouchers has been provided by "TATA Communications", and to use the activation code within that message by logging on to www.trueroots.ca/westernunion or by calling 24/7 customer service via 1-866-503-87665. Instant Prize winners who have entered by mail will be contacted by Western Union or its representatives and provided with an activation code and instructions for contacting TATA Communications. Once this contact has been made, the code is validated and an electronically generated 12 digit PIN will be sent to the customer's email address. The customer can then start using the $2.50 phone time. Customers who provide their mobile numbers online may have their mobile numbers activated for PINless dialing and may start calling right away. Phone time activation codes must be redeemed by the end of the month following the month of first use (i.e. phone activation codes distributed in July 2010 will be valid until August 31, 2010). TATA Communications, not Western Union, will be responsible for providing the phone time prize to the winner. See www.trueroots.ca for more details regarding phone cards.

Phone service provided by trueroots from TATA Communications (Canada) ULC and not Western Union. The trueroots service can be used for international calling only and may be used to call over 200 international destinations. The amount of talk time may vary depending on the country called. Calls are billed in 1 minute increments; partial minutes used are rounded up to the next full increment. You cannot use this service from Payphones. This phone time cannot be used (i) to call local, interstate, intrastate, toll free numbers, (ii) for calls for paid services with premium charges or (iii) for operator-handled calls. Minutes expire 12 months after first use. Safeguard your PIN. You are responsible for loss, theft or unauthorized use. This PIN has no cash value and is not refundable or exchangeable. For rates and additional terms and conditions governing use of the prepaid calling service, please visit www.trueroots.ca or you may call trueroots customer service at 1-866-503-8765.

    • Instant Prizes: To win an Instant Prize, you must correctly answer a mathematical skill-testing question. For automatic entries at participating Agent locations, and for Instant prize winners who enter by mail, the winners are required to contact TATA Communications (as described above) who will administer the skill-testing question.

Western Union and its affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, agents and employees are not liable for lost, late, stolen, illegible, delayed, garbled or misdirected transactions; technical hardware or software failures of any kind; lost or unavailable network connections; failed, incomplete, or damaged transactions; or for garbled or delayed computer transmissions even if the foregoing limits an entrant's ability to participate in the Contest in any way or to win. Western Union and its affiliates, subsidiaries, representatives, agents and employees are not responsible for any problems or the technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of any e-mail on account of technical problems or traffic congestion, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrant's or any person's computer or other property relating to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in connection with the Contest. Western Union is not responsible for any printing, distribution or production errors and, subject to the jurisdiction in Quebec of the Quebec Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux, may amend, terminate or withdraw any contest entry found to contain such errors without liability and without notice, at its sole discretion. If due to a printing, production or other error, more prizes are claimed than are intended to be awarded for any prize level per the above, the intended prizes will be awarded in a random drawing from among all verified and validated prize claims received for that prize level. In no event will more than the stated number of prizes be awarded. Liability for a defective entry shall be limited to replacement thereof if available. Proof of sending a transaction shall not be proof of having been received or recorded by Western Union.

Prizes may not be assigned or transferred and must be accepted as awarded. The Contest Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, substitute a prize of equal or greater value. By accepting a prize in this Contest, the winner consents to the use of his/her name, photograph, likeness, comments, recordings of voice or image, in any and all media, without further compensation, in any publicity carried out by the Contest Sponsor.
